This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Dr. Gary K. Ostrander, Vice President for Research.
As the State of Florida has begun to slowly reopen, Florida State University has taken steps to incrementally expand on-campus research operations. More information is available HERE. We continue to follow the guidance of local, state, and federal officials to maintain the health and safety of our campus community while also looking for ways to increase our research capacity.
As campus density increases, OVPR, EH&S, and HR want to remind you to reevaluate your plans. What worked in the summer may no longer work, or you may be returning to the lab after a hiatus. We hope the attached checklist will be of use.
The fluidity of the situation is likely to require continuing flexibility, and we will continually evaluate the status of our operations to ensure that we are doing the utmost to protect our faculty, students, and staff.
Vice President Ostrander will hold his twenty-seventh all-campus Zoom call at 1:30 Tuesday, September 22, where he will provide updates and answer questions related to this process. We will continue to host these meetings at 1:30pm on Tuesdays until further notice.
