Call for UROP project proposals for the 2020-2021 academic year

This message to all students has been approved by Dr. Sally McRorie, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The Center for Undergraduate Research and Academic Engagement (CRE) is recruiting UROP project proposals for the 2020-2021 academic year from faculty, postdoctoral scholars, graduate students, and campus partners to broaden the options for our Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) students.

Learn more about how to become a UROP Research Mentor and help FSU students get experience in their field by looking over our website or joining one of our virtual UROP Research Mentor Information Sessions this summer:

As UROP research mentors, faculty, postdoctoral scholars and graduate students are eligible to apply for UROP materials grant funding and may be nominated for an Undergraduate Research Mentor Award.

Please remember, by posting a project to the portal, there is no obligation to accept a UROP student if you do not find a good match. (Note: UROP will proceed as a virtual program, if necessary in the Fall. Since the COVID-19 crisis may affect our ability to have in-person research opportunities for students in the fall, students can start by working on background research or other preliminary research activities and continue with in-person research once the University is fully operational again.)
