COVID-19 Vaccine for Children 5-11 years old

This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Kyle Clark, Vice President for Finance and Administration.

On November 2, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention authorized vaccination providers to administer the Pfizer-BioNTech pediatric vaccine to children ages 5 to 11. The University plans to host a vaccination clinic for children of faculty and staff ages 5 to 11 on Saturday, November 13, pending vaccine availability.

More information will be sent to faculty and staff next week regarding the clinic status and information regarding registration. The clinic will be appointment only. If you have questions regarding COVID-19 vaccination for your child, please consult your child’s pediatrician or primary care provider.

The University encourages those that would like to get their children vaccinated against COVID-19 sooner to visit Vaccines.Gov to find a provider and make an appointment.
