Return to Student Life Guide for Fall 2021

This message to all students has been approved by Dr. Amy Hecht, Vice President for Student Affairs.

Dear Students,

We are so excited to welcome you to campus for Fall 2021! As always, we are committed to doing everything we can to support all FSU students. The Division of Student Affairs has created the Return to Student Life Guide, which will help you navigate the Fall term. This document includes important student life information in addition to guidance from the state’s Board of Governors and outlines plans to offer innovative, creative, and safe measures to foster engagement, community, and health and wellness. We are committed to offering the FSU Experience as safely as possible.

Please know that full vaccination against COVID-19 is the best, most effective way to protect yourself and others from getting COVID-19 and preventing disruption of your studies, social activities, teaching, research or work. All FSU students, faculty and staff are eligible for the vaccine for free. You can schedule a vaccination appointment at vaccine.fsu.edu. And now through October 1, you can register to win valuable prizes by getting fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with the “Your Shot to Win” campaign.

Based on the Board of Governors’ direction, all testing, proof of vaccination, or proof of COVID-19 in the last 90 days is strongly encouraged, but voluntary. Florida State University expects all students to participate in the University’s mitigation efforts by getting vaccinated and wearing masks.

I hope you’ll stop by Landis Green on Monday at 11:30 a.m. to say hello and enjoy some ice cream at the VP of Student Affairs Ice Cream Social! Check out this Welcome Week event and dozens of additional fun activities by visiting welcome.fsu.edu.

Wishing You an Amazing Fall and Go Noles!

Dr. Amy Hecht
