University updates on FSUCard access

This message to all students, faculty and staff has been approved by Terri Brown, Chief of FSU Police Department.

We are pleased to announce that we have implemented a new limited campus-wide card access code that will allow all Students, Faculty and Staff perimeter card access entry into buildings on campus. Access will be limited to 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m., Monday – Friday. Buildings holding classes after 5:30 p.m. will have card access extended until 15 minutes before the end of the last class scheduled in the building.

Requesting Interior Card Access

Any interior card access requests must be submitted to CASS by an Authorized Department Physical Security Representative. Please check with your College/Department to see who the designated Authorized Department Physical Security Representatives are within your College/Department.

Reporting FSUCard Access Issues

In the event you are having an issue with your FSUCard, please send an email to PublicSafetyCASS@fsu.edu with:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Last 8-Digits of FSUCard Number or EMPLID Number
  • Where you are having an issue gaining access

If the appropriate access has been granted in the system, you may visit the FSUCard Center website or email fsucard@fsu.edu for assistance.

Important Reminders

  • Please remember to carry your FSUCard while on Campus.
  • Please refrain from propping open doors while on campus. Perimeter doors and selected interior doors are monitored through the card access system. The propping of monitored doors generates false alarms within the card access system. We would like to limit this type of activity as much as possible.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
