Face Covering and Social Distance Compliance Matrix

This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff.

The University has previously communicated that wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing are additional public health measures to help reduce community transmission of respiratory diseases and COVID-19. In our effort to do our part, the University has mandated these safety measures for all faculty, staff, and students.

In an ongoing effort to ensure compliance, the University has developed a Face Covering and Social Distance Compliance Matrix to outline actions that can be taken when faculty, staff or students do not comply with these mandates. Although we expect that every member of the FSU community will hold themselves accountable in keeping the working and learning environment safe, the University has a responsibility to address non-compliance.

The Face Covering and Social Distance Compliance Matrix details potential scenarios in the University setting in which face coverings, social distancing, or other directives related to established safety measures are not followed, and guidance on how to handle these situations. The Matrix also provides contacts and resources for each scenario.

Remember – whether you are living, working, or studying on campus – Stay Healthy FSU!
