Beware Phishing & Fraudulent Job Offers

This message to all students has been approved by Jane Livingston, Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

If you receive an email stating that you have been offered a job you did not apply for, requesting personal and/or credit card information, or requesting that you send a check with instructions to deposit money via a wire transfer service, this is a phishing/scam attempt on your identity and should not be replied to and reported immediately to FSU officials.

It is also important to note that these fraudulent emails could possibly be sent from an authentic FSU email that has been compromised. The individuals sending these emails do not represent The Career Center at Florida State or any other FSU entity.
