Open forums scheduled for three candidates for dean of College of Arts and Sciences

The Longmire Alumni Building is home to

Sciences.

Three final candidates vying for the position of dean of Florida State University’s College of Arts and Sciences will be coming to campus for interviews.

The Arts and Sciences Dean Search Committee has scheduled dates, times and locations for open forums with the candidates. Members of the university community are invited to attend each of the forums and ask questions as the candidates discuss their ideas for moving the college forward.

The schedule of candidate forums is as follows:

  • Kevin Carman, dean of the College of Science, Louisiana State A&M University: Friday, Sept. 21, 1 – 2 p.m., in Room 105, Turnbull Conference Center
  • Nick Giordano, head of the Department of Physics at Purdue University: Monday, Sept. 24, 1 – 2 p.m., in Room 103, Turnbull Conference Center
  • Sam Huckaba, interim dean, College of Arts and Sciences, Florida State University: Tuesday, Sept. 25, 1 – 2 p.m., in Room 103, Turnbull Conference Center
