Good community partner: FSU Bookstore delivers blankets to local shelters

FSU Bookstore Seminole Sportshop

This winter will be a little warmer for Tallahasseeans experiencing homelessness thanks to the generosity of the Florida State University Bookstore and its customers.

The bookstore, which sells With a Purpose collegiate logo blankets, joined the national blanket manufacturer’s “buy a blanket, give a blanket” program to be able to donate blankets to local organizations and shelters, including the Kearney Center, Tallahassee’s homeless shelter.

Bookstore employees delivered 640 plain blankets to the shelter in October.

The FSU Bookstore is operated by Follett. To purchase a Florida State University With a Purpose blanket, visit With a Purpose or the FSU Bookstore.
