Florida State University’s Information Technology Services is hosting a half-day conference for the first time to spotlight innovation and provide insight into the department’s vision and upcoming projects.
The ITS Seminole Showcase, from 1-4 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the Turnbull Conference Center, will feature speakers highlighting innovative technology projects in education, research or administration.
“This is a unique opportunity for us to showcase the innovative and cutting-edge projects happening across FSU,” said Jonathan Fozard, associate vice president and chief information officer of Information Technology Services. “We are excited to share our vision and inspire others as we collectively create future technology advancements.”
The event is split into three 50-minute blocks and poster sessions presented by ITS student interns.
Each block will feature panelists at the forefront of their fields who will discuss topics ranging from generative artificial intelligence to immersive media. The presentations are organized into the following tracks:
Technical: Investigate the comprehensive configurations and high-tech details of FSU’s portfolio of technologies
AI: Explore how artificial intelligence is changing our field and how others are applying this technology across campus.
Department/Project: Understand how a department is leading and employing best practices through a showcase of recent project success.
User-Centered: Dive deep into strategies, insights and best practices to modernize the user experience.
Innovation/Emerging Technology: Learn about disruptive ideas, creative problem-solving, & strategies for fostering innovation through emerging technology.
The event is free and open to the Florida State University community.
