Readers of the influential blog Brian Leiter’s Law School Reports have voted the Florida State University College of Law faculty as the nation’s 35thbest in a 2014 survey on the nation’s top law faculties. The survey asked blog readers to rate law school faculties in terms of scholarly distinction. Professor Brian Leiter, who hosts the blog, is on the law faculty of the University of Chicago Law School.

The survey was posted on November 4 and the resulting list of the top 50 law faculties was posted November 11. Florida State’s faculty is the highest ranked Florida law faculty on the list. “We have a wonderfully talented and productive faculty,” said Dean Donald J. Weidner. “We are especially grateful to the alumni and other donors who have contributed endowed professorships and chairs that have infused our system with extra merit money.”
