Olympic hopefuls utilizing FSU’s Institute for Sports Sciences and Medicine

The road to Rio may include a stop in Tallahassee thanks to Florida State University’s Institute for Sports Sciences and Medicine. The ISSM is a collaborative facility on campus that supplements FSU students education through exceptional research opportunities in sport nutrition and exercise performance and increasing the facilities outreach programming in 2016 is a big initiative for the facilities Director and assistant professor, Mike Ormsbee. Thanks to the state-of-the-art equipment and exceptional team of FSU faculty and students this initiative is under way with elite athletes from the Zap Fitness team and their coach, Pete Rea, utilizing the facility before the Olympic trials as well as other international races in the upcoming months.
