“Florida Standards draw attention to the interdisciplinary nature of learning. They will require that teachers and students understand how learning must go beyond simple recognition to include application of knowledge in ways that align with how knowledge is used and applied in real world settings. As with any changes, these standards require some teachers will have to refine their teaching approaches, and meaningful changes always take time, effort and continued attention to be successful.”
