This message to all faculty and staff has been approved by Renisha Gibbs, Associate Vice President for Human Resources and Finance & Administration Chief of Staff.
It is the responsibility of all members of the campus community to do their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Key behaviors for prevention include wearing face coverings, washing hands, maintaining social distance, and staying home when sick. Because asymptomatic carriers may unknowingly spread the virus, another important measure is getting tested for COVID-19.
We previously communicated that employees who had already been tested at a University testing site should not retest at a University location unless authorized by Human Resources. We are pleased to announce that between now and Labor Day, employees have the opportunity to voluntarily retest at the University testing site. Testing is available by appointment only. To register, visit the University Health Services Testing website. After Labor Day, we expect to formalize and announce a random testing program.
We understand that testing is vital to mitigating the spread of COVID-19 and will continue to provide increased testing availability whenever possible. Employees are strongly encouraged to register for testing.
Thank you for doing your part to keep the campus community safe.
