The Office of Research will have an eleventh All-Campus Zoom Meeting on Research Activity on Tuesday, June 2, at 1:30 pm. As we have in the past, the meeting will begin with brief updates from VP Ostrander and AVPs Fulkerson and Peluso. We will then open the remainder of the meeting for Q&A. You will all be muted when you come into the meeting and you will have the opportunity to pose questions, which will be answered in real time, via the “Chat Function.” You are encouraged to only post questions that are of general interest to the group.

As the state of Florida begins to slowly reopen, Florida State University is taking steps to incrementally expand on-campus research operations at this time. Our goal is to follow federal, state and local guidance to maintain health and safety while allowing for limited research activity.
As of May 6th, the university has allowed increased – yet still restricted – access to research facilities. Labs may have no more than 25 percent of their normal occupancy and must be arranged to allow for 6 feet between workers and less than one person per 100 square feet to allow for social distancing. Masks should be worn when in any campus building. Additionally, all meetings must continue to take place virtually. Before leaving their spaces, all employees should clean surface areas according to protocols provided by FSU Facilities. The CDC has posted guidelines that you may find useful at Cleaning and Disinfecting Your Facility.
Pivoting on Research: A 5-Session Webinar Series on New Research Ideas and Strategies for a New Time – Pivoting on Research is a unique series of informational webinars hosted by the Office of Research Development in response to research challenges brought upon by the pandemic. Each webinar in the series will address a specific topic about changing research foci, methods, and strategies for faculty researchers. Register for the session(s) of your choice Here.
