Florida State University invites alumni, students, parents and friends to the 2024 Homecoming celebrations from Saturday, Nov. 16 through Sunday, Nov. 24. This year’s theme, “Tuned in to Tradition,” will bring a week of events filled with Seminole spirit and legacy.
For the first time this year, there is an opportunity to meet the Homecoming Court at a caricature station, drawn by the court itself, on Friday, Nov. 15. Attendees can help create a banner during Paint the Groove that will be showcased during the Homecoming parade.
Some of the time-honored festivities include the Homecoming Live pep rally, alumni events and a street parade on Saturday, Nov. 23, before the Homecoming football game against Charleston Southern. Adding a touch of tradition to the game day atmosphere, the Homecoming Chief and Princess will be revealed during halftime.

SATURDAY, NOV. 16
Homecoming Live is an evening of entertainment featuring performances by the FSU cheerleaders, the Golden Girls, the Marching Chiefs and various other student organizations. Flo Milli, who brings a bold and bubbly sound to the rap scene, will be headlining the event. MONDAY, NOV. 18
Beginning at 7 p.m. at the Student Union, Spirit Night is an evening of student performances, trivia and a chance to get to know our Homecoming Court. Channel your Seminole spirit by wearing Garnet and Gold and vie for the “Most Spirited.” This pep-rally themed production makes for a night to remember!
TUESDAY, NOV. 19
FSU’s commitment to giving back to the community is a tradition in itself. Unite for a Cause honors that by offering students a chance to show their Homecoming spirit through acts of service. The event will have several stations hosted by different student organizations, where you can complete a service activity, enjoy snacks and know that your acts of service help make a mark at Florida State.
WEDNESDAY, NOV. 20
Odds and Evens is your chance to grab your friends and show off your skills on the field. This year, the event features a kickball and flag football tournament open to all FSU students in teams of 4-6. Vie for prizes and battle it out until a champion is crowned. It’s the perfect opportunity to showcase your skills, bond with fellow students, and be part of an action-packed day filled with sportsmanship and campus spirit.
THURSDAY, NOV. 21
The Homecoming Festival will commemorate 76 years of tradition where the spirit of a hometown carnival meets the energy of live music. Experience thrill rides, games, prizes, food and live performances from guest bands. Join in the celebration beginning at 3 p.m. on Union Green.
FRIDAY, NOV. 22
The Emeriti Alumni Society at FSU will celebrate its 50th anniversary and welcome attendees to a luncheon at 11:30 a.m., kicking off their Homecoming reunion weekend. Emeriti alumni, who graduated from FSU 50 years ago or more, will relive cherished memories and participate in campus tours, VIP parade viewing, as well as their annual induction brunch and awards ceremony celebrating the Class of 1974. The annual Homecoming Parade, organized by the Student Alumni Association (SAA), will begin at 2 p.m. The parade has a new route this year and will head north out of the Civic Center parking lot along Macomb St., turn west along College Avenue, then south onto Copeland Street. Bert Kreischer (B.A. ’98), a stand-up comedian, actor and podcaster, will serve as grand marshal. The parade features the Marching Chiefs, FSU cheerleaders and floats made by student organizations.
Join us for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) Park project at 3:30 p.m. Located just off Legacy Walk and adjacent to Moore Auditorium and the Student Union’s main plaza, the park celebrates FSU’s Divine Nine African American Greek Chapters heritage while also educating our community on the history and importance these chapters play in creating a strong vibrant campus community.
The FSU Alumni Awards will celebrate the notable accomplishments of alumni and take place at 6 p.m. in the Alumni Center Ballroom. The event will honor the recipients of the Reubin O’D. The 2024 Grads Made Good awards, in partnership with the FSU Circle of Omicron Delta Kappa, are presented during the Homecoming Breakfast at 8:30 a.m. at the FSU Alumni Center. The award honors alumni who have made a significant difference through outstanding success in their fields. The event will also commemorate the 45th anniversary of SAA. The weekend culminates at the FSU Alumni Center, with the Emeriti Alumni Society Induction Brunch and Awards Ceremony. The Class of 1974 will be inducted into the esteemed Emeriti Alumni Society, and participants will receive Emeriti’s signature 50-year medallion. The ceremony will also celebrate the outstanding contributions, achievements and enduring spirit of the remarkable Emeriti honorees. The Homecoming Executive Council consists of students who plan events for the FSU campus and community each year. Each position within the council helps in coordinating events, which involves working with volunteers and student groups, managing communications and seeking sponsorships.
