The 10th annual FSU’s Great Give marked its milestone anniversary with a record-breaking achievement, surpassing its $1 million goal by raising $1,576,910 in 24 hours.
FSU’s Great Give, which took place March 10, drew support from 4,177 donors. Donors living in 49 states and 12 countries contributed to important projects across campus and more than 6,000 unique gifts contributed to the final fundraising total.
“To say we’re grateful for our FSU family is an understatement,” said Nora Clark, assistant director for digital and social giving for the Florida State University Foundation Office of Annual Giving. “We knew this $1 million goal was going to be a big achievement, but our donors have a way of showing us that their generosity is endless. We simply can’t do this great work without them.”
Last year, the event pivoted its efforts toward supporting students in need due to COVID-19 and raised $438,544. This year’s fundraising total is more than double the amount of the previous record of $774,979 set in 2019.
This year’s campaign supported 90 featured projects from colleges and units across the university. Throughout the campaign, 15 incentive prizes totaling $65,000 were awarded to projects which won the challenges.
The FSU’s Great Give will return in March 2022. Donors may still make a gift to Florida State by visiting give.fsu.edu or by calling (850) 644-6000.
