The Florida State University Libraries’ website has received a new look that will provide quick, seamless access to the libraries’ collections and important services. The new virtual home of Libraries, located at lib.fsu.edu, went live Monday, Aug. 8.
“This new website provides a fresh, innovative approach for access to the library services that FSU faculty and students use most,” said Julia Zimmerman, Dean of FSU Libraries. “Supporting academic success is our primary goal, and this website brings the best of the library to you 24/7.”
The new lib.fsu.edu offers improved functionality with a clean, uncluttered design for students and faculty no matter where they are in the world. One significant feature is a powerful, tabbed search option to aid in browsing the extensive collection of articles, books, journals, databases and more.
Key information, including library hours, course reserves, study rooms and research assistance, is easily accessible from the new homepage. Important news and events are now highlighted for students and faculty to stay connected to FSU Libraries. A dynamic new “Ask a Librarian” tab is also available on every page for live chat sessions with a knowledgeable librarian.
Developed with users in mind, the new website is compatible with today’s browsers and functions especially well on mobile devices.
Please visit lib.fsu.edu for more information and to browse the new website.
