The Council for Advancement and Support of Education has named Florida State University a bronze award winner of its 2015 Circle of Excellence awards program. Florida State was recognized for its video featuring Raise the Torch, the University’s comprehensive campaign with a goal of $1 billion.
A panel of experts selected Florida State from among 27 entries in the long video category.
“This video tells FSU’s story by intertwining our heritage, beauty, people, excellence and ambition into a powerful engagement and educational tool for University advancement and development,” said Tom Block, campaign manager. “I’m very proud of the overwhelmingly positive response we have received.”
This year, 720 higher education institutions, independent schools and nonprofits from around the world submitted more than 3,200 entries in nearly 100 categories for consideration in the Circle of Excellence awards program.
Judges gave 307 bronze, silver and gold awards. Seventeen institutions received the top prize of a grand gold award.
Earlier this year, the Raise the Torch video, along with its production team FRAME, won a gold ADDY award in the American Advertising Federation’s local American Advertising Awards.
