Fall Faculty meeting to feature State of the University address, Torch Awards, President’s Medal

Florida State University President Eric J. Barron will deliver his first State of the University Address on Tuesday, Oct. 26, during the Fall Meeting of the General Faculty, scheduled for 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. The address will be webcast. To view the webcast, visit this link.

In addition to the 2010 State of the University address, the meeting will feature the Faculty Senate’s presentation of the annual Torch Awards, as well as the bestowal of the ceremonial Presidential Medal upon Barron. There will be a special tribute to FSU art faculty who have loaned works of art for display in the President’s Office, the President’s House and the Turnbull Center.
