Florida State University’s prestigious Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training has been ranked 18th among the world’s top 25 drama schools by The Hollywood Reporter.

“It's an honor to be part of such an august list of programs,” said Greg Leaming, director of the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training. “Being included is validation of all of the work of our students, our faculty, our staff and, most importantly, the truly spectacular partnership with Asolo Repertory Theatre. This unique partnership is what makes this training program so special. As I'm very fond of saying, our students are most definitely the future of the American theater!”

The Top 25 Drama Schools in the World ranking, published May 30, lauds the Sarasota, Fla.-based Asolo Conservatory for providing Master of Fine Arts candidates with tuition waivers and experience at the Asolo Repertory Theatre, the biggest in the Southeast. The ranking incorrectly lists Paul Reubens of Pee Wee Herman fame as an alumnus.

The ranking is topped by The Juilliard School in New York City.
