Presidential Search Advisory Committee selects candidates for first-round interviews May 14-15

Florida State University’s Presidential Search Advisory Committee will conduct a first round of interviews with nine candidates for university president Friday, May 14, and Saturday, May 15.

The committee selected the following candidates for first-round interviews:

Robert A. Blouin
David K. Coburn
Richard M. Corcoran
Randall W. Hanna
Richard D. McCullough
Giovanni Piedimonte
Sean Pittman
Mary Ann Rankin
Michael K. Young

The meeting agenda will include public comment Friday. Instructions for public comment are available on the search website.

Each interview will be scheduled for one hour. The interview schedule will be made available on presidentialsearch.fsu.edu once it is finalized.

The meeting and all interviews will be live-streamed at presidentialsearch.fsu.edu.

Following first-round interviews, the committee anticipates hosting a series of individual open candidate forums for students, faculty, staff and community groups during the week of May 17.

Florida State received 22 new applications for university president before Tuesday’s meeting. The university has received a total of 35 applications during the search.
