The Florida State University Career Center has launched a new online hub designed to build and maximize students’ employability skills.
The Career Platform, the product of a partnership between the Career Center and Purposely, is another tool that will give FSU students an edge when it comes to finding a career after graduation.
The new system allows students and alumni to have an in-depth look at important career building aspects like personal branding, job search strategies, networking and videos on important career topics such as today’s critical career soft skills and more.
“We are committed to providing the appropriate tools and opportunities for career readiness to support the graduate success of our FSU students whether they are on campus or at a distance,” said Myrna Hoover, director of The Career Center.
The Career Platform also walks users through a series of eLearning courses that teach valuable tips and tricks to help students get jobs. Each course has a variety of videos, resources and professional perspectives to help them build upon their employability and career readiness skills.
With informative videos like the platform’s introductory video, which focuses on the seven key competencies that support career readiness as identified by the National Association of Colleges and Employers, students will be ready for the jump into the work force and beyond.
The Career Center also offers an array of comprehensive, innovative and inclusive services for students and alumni available through drop-in career advising or from a distance.
