Seven Days of Opening Nights 2013 | Issues in Education (October 2012)

The first episode of the 10th season of Issue in Education is dedicated to Arts, Entertainment and the impact on higher education. The topic is the Seven Days of Opening Nights Festival planned for 2013. FSU President Eric Barron and WFSU- TV’s Suzanne Smith talk with the new Executive Director of the festival, Christopher Heacox. They discuss this year’s schedule of performers, how the festival is tied into education at FSU and future plans for Seven Days. Dr. Barron also discusses the importance of a festival dedicated to the arts at the same time there is a push to more emphasis in STEM fields.
