Back-to-School | Issues in Education (August 2012)

This month high school graduates across the nation will be heading off to college campuses for the first time. At Florida State University there will be approximately 5,800 new freshmen on campus. In this episode of Issues in Education, FSU president Eric Barron and WFSU-TV’s Suzanne Smith look at ways students can make their college experience the best it can be from day one. They talk with Andrea Failing with the new Student and Family Programs at FSU. Joining the discussion are FSU Seniors and Orientation Leaders Tura Magley and Addison Hughes. They help new students navigate the first year questions and have suggestions to help make a big college campus feel more like home. Dr. Barron also discusses the upcoming Student Convocation ceremony, University Tuition and several new hires at FSU.
