In this episode of Issues in Education we explore learning as a lifelong skill. Baby boomers are saying college towns like Tallahassee are a great place to retire partly because of the educational opportunities available to them. The Florida State University President and WFSU-TV’S Suzanne Smith look at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute on FSU’s campus. They talk with OLLI past president Susan Yelton and OLLI member Wade Birch about the classes and activities available to community members over the age of 50. Tallahassee was recently listed as the top destination for baby boomers looking for a place to retire. Dr. Barron also talks about the recent 50th Anniversary of Integration at FSU and the events conducted to honor that time in the University’s history.
