Doctoral Hooding Ceremony

Florida State University celebrated its doctoral graduates Friday morning during the Summer 2026 Doctoral Hooding Ceremony at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. The university awarded 253 doctoral degrees during the ceremony, honoring graduates who completed the highest level of academic achievement after years of advanced study, research and scholarship.

2 p.m. Commencement Ceremony

Florida State University celebrated its Summer 2026 graduates Friday during afternoon and evening commencement ceremonies at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center. The university awarded bachelor’s, master’s and specialist degrees as graduates, families and friends marked the milestone. Florida State alumnus Allen Durham, who oversees the university’s iconic Osceola and Renegade tradition, delivered the commencement address at the 2 p.m. ceremony, while Robert O. Lawton Distinguished Professor Brad Schmidt addressed graduates during the 7 p.m. ceremony.
