Associate Professor Sarah A. Johnson’s research program aims to integrate multiple disciplines including nutrition, food, dietetics, agricultural, physiological, and biomedical sciences to perform clinical and translational nutrition research studies focused on nutrition and food bioactives/phytochemicals on human health with a primary focus on cardiovascular health.

Kyle Smith

Assistant Professor

Assistant Professor Kyle Smith’s research is primarily focused on how diet, exercise, and stress alter the immune system. Changes in lifestyle factors can drastically affect how our immune cells respond to insults, and much of his laboratory’s work is aimed at developing economical adjuvants to current cancer immunotherapies.
