Florida State commemorates Kubrick with film festival

The Florida State University Student Life Cinema has put together an eight day film festival honoring famed director Stanley Kubrick. Along with screenings of his films, special guests actor Vincent D’Onofrio (Private Pyle, Full Metal Jacket) and Kubrick’s longtime producer Jan Harlan will speak with audiences about working with Stanley Kubrick. Florida State hones in on hazing

Florida State University has been awarded for its innovative approach to get a handle on hazing. The university’s anti-hazing website,, is a prime example of its latest initiatives and played a major role in’s decision to honor Florida State University for its "innovation in hazing prevention and education."
