Florida State University has been named to Forbes’ 2026 lists of America’s Best-In-State Employers and Best Employers for Women.
The annual rankings are based on independent employee surveys conducted in partnership with Statista, a global statistics and industry ranking provider.
The Best-In-State Employers list measures employee satisfaction and workplace reputation, while the Best Employers for Women list evaluates employers on workplace experiences and opportunities for women.
Best-In-State survey participants were asked how likely they were to recommend their employer and to evaluate factors such as compensation, workplace culture, opportunities for professional advancement and employer reputation.
FSU ranked No. 29 among Florida employers across all industries and was the highest-ranked employer in the education category.
Best Employers for Women respondents were asked to rate their current employers on pay equity, career development, parental leave, work-life balance, childcare and eldercare benefits, and how employers handle workplace complaints.
FSU ranked No. 74 among 700 employers nationwide on Forbes’ Best Employers and ranked in the top 15 of the education category.
