President Richard McCullough: April 17 Remembrance

Dear FSU family,

As we mark April 17, I want to share how we will come together as a university.

I invite you to watch my short video message.

At noon, we will pause for a moment of silence. I hope you will join us, wherever you may be, in taking that time to reflect.

For those who wish to gather in person, the Student Government Association will host a space for reflection on Legacy Walk from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flowers will be available near the FSU letters, along with opportunities to share messages. The Unconquered Statue will be lit throughout the day.

In the months since April 17, we have supported one another in many ways. That care and connection continues to matter.

Support is available if you need it:

Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS): Walk-in appointments are available Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Askew Student Life Center, second floor. Students can also call 24/7 at (850) 644-TALK (8255).

Victim Advocate Program (VAP): Call 24/7 at (850) 644-7161, text (850) 756-4320 or email Victims-Advocate@fsu.edu.

Employee Assistance Program (EAP): Faculty, staff and graduate assistants can call (850) 644-2288 to schedule an appointment.

Thank you for looking out for one another and for taking part in this moment as a community.

Sincerely,

Richard McCullough
President, Florida State University
