
The Florida State University Honors Program supports the efforts and talents of some of the university’s most intellectually curious students who have the potential, dedication and drive for creating change. The Medallion Ceremony took place July 31 in the Nancy H. Marcus Great Hall.
The ceremony included remarks by Associate Dean of Honors, Scholars, and Fellows D. Craig Filar; Outstanding Senior Scholar Graduate Kenneth Bevan III; and Vice President for Student Academic Success and Dean of Undergraduate Studies Joe O’Shea.
The breakdown of the honors awardees is as follows:
26 Graduates, University Honors Program
Completed the University Honors Program, earning at least 18 Honors points in fulfillment of the FSU Honors Program requirements.
12 Graduates, Honors in the Major Program
Completed an Honors thesis in fulfillment of the requirement for the distinction “with Honors” in their major department.
5 Graduates, Outstanding Senior Scholar
Completed both the University Honors Program and the Honors in the Major Program, with a 3.9 cumulative GPA or higher.
