
Florida State University College of Nursing Dean Jing Wang has been awarded the Fellowship Ad Eundem by the Faculty of Nursing & Midwifery at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI), one of the most distinguished global honors in nursing leadership and innovation.
The fellowship recognizes Wang’s visionary leadership and international impact in advancing digital health transformation, integrating artificial intelligence in health care and driving workforce innovation.
“Dean Wang’s fellowship is a testament to her exceptional leadership and the worldwide impact of her work,” Clark said. “Her ability to drive innovation in digital health, artificial intelligence and workforce development has elevated the College of Nursing and strengthened Florida State University’s reputation on the global stage. We are proud to celebrate her achievements and the international recognition she brings to FSU.”
RCSI, also known as RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences, is a world-renowned institution recognized for excellence in health sciences education, research and professional training. The designation is conferred upon leaders whose professional achievements have significantly advanced health care and the nursing profession worldwide.
“The Fellowship Ad Eundem is an extraordinary honor,” Wang said. “RCSI’s global leadership in advancing nursing and health care aligns deeply with my commitment to innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration and preparing the next generation of nurses to lead in an AI-enabled future.”
Under Wang’s leadership, the FSU College of Nursing has expanded its global reach and accelerated its innovation agenda, launching pioneering programs such as the nation’s first Master of Science in Nursing with an AI Applications in Health Care specialization, advancing digital health and AI research and building international partnerships that strengthen nursing leadership, practice and workforce development.
Other leaders who were awarded the Fellowship Ad Eundem include Claire Montgomery Zangerle, CEO of the American Organization for Nursing Leadership and the chief nurse executive of the American Hospital Association; and Maurizio Zega, president of the Order of the Nursing Professions of Rome, vice president of the National Federation of Orders of the Nursing Professions in Italy, and vice president of the European Nursing Council.
Wang was formally conferred at the December 2025 Conferring Ceremony in Dublin, Ireland.
