FSU College of Music celebrates Carlisle Floyd

Internationally renowned composer and father of American Opera Carlisle Floyd returns to Florida State University for a celebration of his life and career. Floyd came to FSU in 1947 as a professor in the College of Music. A few short years later, he had written and staged “Susannah”, the opera that would go on to define his legacy, and ultimately the legacy of the FSU College of Music.
