Research at the undergraduate level is the topic for this month’s program. Florida State University President Eric Barron talks with two students who recently received the first Atlantic Coast Conference Fellowships for Undergraduate Research at FSU: Al Heartley, a theatre major; and Andrew Attar, a chemistry major. The students discuss their projects, the role research is playing in their education, and why it is important to their futures. Dr. Barron also discusses the role undergraduate research played in his decision to study at Florida State for his bachelor’s degree. He also talks about how Florida State and higher education in Florida are faring in the 2010 legislative session.
