Florida State University biochemist Ken Knappenberger and biologist Elizabeth Stroupe are the recipients of two highly competitive National Science Foundation research grants totaling nearly $1.6 million. NSF CAREER Awards are designated for scientists who are still in the early stages of their academic careers and are intended to help them build upon previous accomplishments in their areas of research.
