Karen McGinnis, an assistant professor of biological sciences, and Billie Collier, dean of the Florida State University’s College of Human Sciences, are both at the head of the pack in their respective fields. Karen McGinnis is the recipient of an NSF Faculty Early CAREER Development award, and Billie Collier is elected chairwoman of the nation’s Board on Human Sciences.
