Initiated in 2010 by former President Eric J. Barron and developed with Undergraduate Studies and Student Affairs, the Garnet and Gold Scholar Society recognizes well-rounded undergraduate students who excel within and beyond the classroom in at least three of the five areas: international experience, internship, leadership, research and service.
“The summer 2014 inductees continue to exemplify the best of Florida State students,” said Vice President for Student Affairs Mary Coburn. “With aspirations ranging from attending medical school to teaching abroad to working in business or public service, each inductee is destined to represent the University very well. I appreciate their many contributions to our vibrant campus life.”
The students, all graduating seniors, were inducted into the Garnet and Gold Scholar Society during a special ceremony on July 31. The inductees, along with their academic majors and hometowns, are:
