The Florida State University Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship (JMC) received an elevated national ranking from The Princeton Review this week, moving up to 18th in the publication’s list of “Top Schools for Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Programs of 2025.”

The college moved up three spots from last year’s ranking and raised its regional number as well, moving to the No. 2 undergraduate entrepreneurship program in the South.

Among public universities on the top 50 national list, JMC has emerged as a top 10 national undergraduate entrepreneurship program.

“Our students are job creators, problem solvers and change agents,” said Eric Liguori, associate dean for research and external relations at the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship. “We work every day to equip them with the skill sets and mindsets needed for entrepreneurial success. There’s never been a more exciting time to study entrepreneurship, and FSU continues its commitment to being world leaders in entrepreneurship education.”

The Princeton Review highlighted additional information on what sets JMC apart from other colleges. It praised the school’s ability to provide students with opportunities to learn and express their entrepreneurial vision, touting its three undergraduate majors in commercial entrepreneurship, retail entrepreneurship and STEM entrepreneurship.

Over the last five years, 531 companies have been started by students using JMC resources and the university offers over 125 entrepreneurship courses. JMC’s six hands-on laboratories for product development, omnichannel merchandising and its two labs dedicated to conducting textile testing to allow students to explore entrepreneurship education beyond course offerings helped propel its latest national ranking by The Princeton Review.

JMC provides a rich curriculum for entrepreneurship majors and minors while creating an environment that promotes entrepreneurial thinking, hands-on learning and real-life experience through business mentoring, networking and internships. The college employs full-time faculty who have had or currently own their own businesses, offering the best possible real-world education.

In addition to JMC offering entrepreneurial undergraduate and graduate education to FSU students, the Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship’s Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship supports community entrepreneurs with a rich curriculum to help develop their ideas and businesses.

In October 2024, the institute created the first-ever Community Bootcamp for Entrepreneurs as part of the Leon Entrepreneurship and Adversity Program (LEAP), receiving strong reviews from its participants. LEAP is a 10-month program where participants advance through three main stages: training, mentoring and consulting.

JMC’s community connections with the Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship make it one of the farthest-reaching entrepreneurial schools in the country.
