SU Professor Jimmy Kimbrell, a poetry professor in the Creative Writing Program, is named one of the 178 recipients of the 2016 Guggenheim Fellowship. The highly competitive award is one of the top honors in academia and recipients are chosen partially for their previous accomplishments and productive scholarship as well as anticipated promise for future achievements. Kimbrell is now currently the fifth faculty member in FSU’s Department of English to receive this recognition.
