More than 5,000 of the nearly 6,200 incoming freshmen to Florida State University convened Sunday, August 23rd to be welcomed by President John Thrasher, Congresswoman Gwen Graham, along with administrators, upperclassmen, and Kyle Doney of the Seminole Tribe of Florida who all contributed in teaching the new students the history and traditions of FSU. From reciting the Seminole Creed, Academic Honor Policy, and singing the Alma Matter as a group, and more, the students shed their high school graduation class of 2015 and are now the Florida State Seminoles Class of 2019.
