FSU to host ‘Last Call Before the Wrecking Ball’ events honoring the Oglesby Union

Florida State University will host a series of farewell events as part of “Last Call Before the Wrecking Ball,” commemorating the Oglesby Union before construction for renovations begins this summer.

Featured events during the week include:

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 25

Last Market Wednesday, 12 to 2 p.m., in the Union Courtyard
This special edition of Market Wednesday will feature music, cupcakes, paint-a-pot, a cornhole tournament, a photo booth and more.

Local Covers at Club Downunder, 9:30 p.m.
This show features local musicians paying homage to their favorite artists. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. at this 18+ event. Free for students with a valid FSU ID. 

THURSDAY, APRIL 26

Last Day on the Green, 7 to 10 p.m., on the Union Green and in the Union Courtyard
This classic night on the green will feature an inflatable wrecking ball, paint-a-pot, food trucks and more.

Local Covers at Club Downunder, 9:30 p.m.
This show features local musicians paying homage to their favorite artists. Doors open at 8:30 p.m. at this 18+ event. Free for students with a valid FSU ID.

FRIDAY, APRIL 27

Sidewalk Chalk Competition, 7 to 10 p.m., on the Union Green and in the Union Courtyard
The green will be filled with color during the Sidewalk Chalk Competition, which also features food trucks, prizes for the winners and free bowling.

Red Baraat at Club Downunder, 9:30 p.m.
This event features a performance by a riveting octet that NPR dubbed “the best party band in years.” This 18+ event is free for students with a valid gold FSU ID and $12 for the general public.

SATURDAY, APRIL 28

Club Downunder’s Last Show, 8:30 p.m.
This final show will feature local artists integral to the history of Club Downunder since its inception in 1988, along with free pizza.
