FSU’s Office of Inspector General Services seeks accreditation

On Wednesday, April 26, the Office of Inspector General Services will undergo a rigorous onsite inspection by the Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation (CFA) to assess the Office’s compliance with specific requirements and prescribed standards as set forth by the CFA, Florida statutes and the Principles and Standards for Offices of Inspector General.

The Commission for Florida Law Enforcement Accreditation worked closely with the Florida Inspector General community to develop professional standards for Florida Inspector General Offices. The Offices must comply with 46 standards to achieve initial accreditation and thereafter, will be reassessed every three years to maintain accredited status.

The public is invited to offer comments to the assessment team regarding the ability of the Office of Inspector General Services to comply with CFA standards.

To submit comments, write to CFA, P.O. Box 1489, Tallahassee, FL or email at infor@flaaccreditation.org.
