Freshmen try service before class

Florida State University's reCycle program is the brain child of FSU honors student Sandy Simmons. With the help of university administrators, Simmons successfully changed wording of state statute to allow bikes abandoned on Florida’s public university campuses to be repaired — and ultimately rented.

Bea Awoniyi honored for service to students with disabilities

Alan Marshall adds two major awards to distinguished career

FSU's acclaimed Chemistry Professor Alan Marshall discusses his latest awards from the New York Section of the American Chemical Society and Society for Analytical Chemists of Pittsburgh, and the distinguished career that led to them. Marshall co-invented and continues to develop Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance (FT-ICR) mass spectrometry, a revolutionary chemical analysis technique.

Materials firm funds doctoral education

Florida State University graduate student Erin Phillips is announced as the first recipient of the Cytec Engineered Materials Doctoral Fellowship for Advanced Composite Studies. The fellowship is a result of a new partnership between Cytec Industries Inc. and Florida State University.
