Florida State University creative writing professor Julianna Baggott discusses her new post-apocalyptic thriller, ‘Pure’, and her genre-bending approach to the art. 'Pure' is earning rave reviews from the New York Times and Publisher’s Weekly, and the film rights have been sold to Fox 2000 Pictures with a ‘Twilight’ saga producer already on board.
FSU receives $1 million endowment from Bernard Osher Foundation
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Florida State University (OLLI at FSU) has been awarded a $1 million endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation. OLLI at FSU provides an engaging set of classes and programs targeted to people beyond the age of 50 who want to enhance their education in a stress-free environment.
The Big Event at FSU
About a thousand Florida State University students participated in a national service project known as ‘The Big Event’ on Saturday, March 24th. Students volunteered their time at different locations throughout the community including America’s Second Harvest of the Big Bend.
Nobel Prize winning Chemist teaches elementary students about science

2012 Clinician of the Year
Florida State University Associate Professor Dr. Niharika Suchak has been named the 2012 Clinician of the Year by the American Geriatrics Society. Suchak says she is 'deeply humbled' by the honor.
FSU Student Foundation presents a $15,000 check to the Office of Undergraduate Research
The FSU Student Foundation has donated more than $100,000 to Florida State over the past year. The newest donation of $15,000 will go towards the Office of Undergraduate Research. (March 16, 2012)
ADHD under control: 10 years of research in 1 book
Florida State University Professor of Educational Psychology Frances Prevatt has co-authored a new book that helps adults suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder manage their life. The book draws on her work as Executive Director of Florida State's Adult Learning Evaluation Center, where she helps more than 200 people a year find creative approaches to coping with the disorder.
