In January of 2009, following major cuts to higher education funding, Florida State University student leaders came together to start a campaign that would help faculty across campus.  It’s called Protect Our Professors (P.O.P.), and with more than half of their $100,000 goal met, the students recently handed out the first of many checks to support a couple inspirational FSU faculty.

Florida State University Alumna and Fox News correspondent Shannon Bream recently returned to FSU to deliver the commencement speech at one of this spring's graduation ceremonies.  We sat down with her to to discuss her career covering some of the nation's top stories, and how FSU helped make it possible.

Everything in our world is going the way of the mobile application, so why not science education?  Faculty from Florida State University's College of Communication and Information, College of Education, and the Learning Systems Institute invite 4th and 5th grade students from Florida State University Schools to the Tallahassee Museum to test out Habitat Tracker, the latest advancement in science teaching tools.

Nine members of the 2011 Florida State University baseball team earned Bachelor's degrees this semester, but were unable to attend FSU's official commencement ceremonies due to the team's travel schedule.  And so, the university decided to bring commencement to them.
