05/23/2011 - Florida State Protects Its Professors!

In January of 2009, following major cuts to higher education funding, Florida State University student leaders came together to start a campaign that would help faculty across campus.  It’s called Protect Our Professors (P.O.P.), and with more than half of their $100,000 goal met, the students recently handed out the first of many checks to support a couple inspirational FSU faculty.

Nine members of the 2011 Florida State University baseball team earned Bachelor's degrees this semester, but were unable to attend FSU's official commencement ceremonies due to the team's travel schedule.  And so, the university decided to bring commencement to them.

Mike Mullen, Fox News correspondent Shannon Bream, and former Florida Supreme Court Justice Raoul Cantero.

Florida State University's School of Theater is long known for its stunning performances and mastery of the art, and a new production out of the Asolo Reperatory Theater in Sarasota, Florida is no exception.  Master of Fine Arts students in the FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training in Sarasota appear in the repertory theater's current production of "Las Meninas".
