Not-for-profit directors in the Tallahassee area can now benefit from a business leadership program tailored to the type of organizations they manage.

The Jim Moran Institute for Global Entrepreneurship announced June 24 the creation of the Non-Profit Executive Program at the new Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence (INIE). The first class will run from this September through November.

“The best charities and agencies maximize their donors’ dollars and client services by fine tuning their operations and developing a top-notch team of employees and volunteers. Success starts with leadership,” said Mike Campbell, director of The Jim Moran Institute’s North Florida Outreach Division. “We are excited about our collaboration with the Institute for Nonprofit Innovation and Excellence.”

A spinoff of The Jim Moran Institute’s flagship Small Business Executive Program, the Non-Profit Executive Program will cover a variety of topics from lean business models to financials with an emphasis on the business aspect of running a nonprofit. Classes will take place at TCC Capitol Center, the college’s downtown service center at Kleman Plaza.
