Four Florida State professors join prestigious ranks of AAAS fellows
The Florida State University has long been recognized internationally for the high quality of research conducted on its campus in a wide variety of academic disciplines. That stellar reputation has been reaffirmed as four Florida State professors — a biologist, a physicist and two psychologists — were elevated to the rank of fellow by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).

Florida State University senior Jared Lyon, a U.S. Navy veteran who is widely credited as the driving force behind Florida State’s inaugural Student Veteran Film Festival, as well the university’s new Veterans House, has been named Student Veteran of the Year by a prestigious national advocacy organization.
Garnet and Gold Scholar Society welcomes 17 new members
Florida State University student Jared Lyon is a U.S. Navy veteran who serves as president of the Collegiate Veterans Association’s FSU chapter. Rachel Lubitz is an undergraduate-research fellowship recipient who taught English to schoolchildren in Ghana and founded the campus organization Empowering Women Globally upon her return.
